RBingham - The Little Red H|en

The Little Red Hen

This week, we have been thinking about 'Harvest'.
We read 'The Little Red Hen'.

We retold the story using masks.

We sequenced the story in the correct order too!

We had a fantastic time baking bread, just like the Little Red Hen, BUT we helped our friends and worked together (unlike the Little Red Hen's friends).

I hope you enjoyed your bread rolls.
Thank-you to Miss Carr for helping us bake them.

We have also enjoyed working in our Farm Shop role play area: writing lists, buying fruit and vegetables, milking the cow and playing with the farm set.

Some of us made the Little Red Hen using a paper plate.

In Maths, we ordered different sized vegetables, using our rhyme from Numberblocks to help us:
"I'm bigger than you, I'm smaller than you, diddley, diddley do!"

We also explored making totals of 6, 8 and 10 apples on two trees.
What a busy week! AND we've been learning our Nativity songs too!
