We have been looking at different Celebrations focusing on Diwali and Bonfire Night.
Wonderful firework pictures using chalk!
We were hoping to get out and barbecue some sausages but unfortunately it was a bit too wet! Luckily we managed a campfire inside the the Nursery!
The next morning was a wonderful Autumnal day - cold, crisp and sunny - so we manged to get out and light a little firepit on the field. We ate toasted marshmallows, chased around and then warmed up with a hot chocolate. Yummy!
We practised our cutting skills and then stuck the little pieces onto a Rangoli pattern.
Busy, busy, busy! So many activities - retold the story of Rama and Sita, used Numicon to make Rangoli patterns, made fireworks at the play dough table, made meals and served them up in the restaurant!
We ended the week with an awful lot of rain but we still managed to get out and jump in a few muddle puddles!
