The Solar System
We have been learning lots of information about our Solar System.
After reading information books about planets, we also learnt a song (click on the link below).

We used our marbled space paper from last week and used oil pastels to draw the planets in our solar system.
We have been making different totals using aliens with one or two eyes.
Some of us were counting in 2s!
We also explored number bonds to 10 (using the bar model). We found different ways for the aliens to travel in a rocket.
This week we have been naming 2D and 3D shapes. We made 2D rockets...
...and 3D rockets!
We also made obstacle courses in our Outside Classroom, pretending that we were on the moon or a planet from our solar system.
We've all had a fantastic fortnight, learning about Space.
I wonder what exciting things we will do next week!
