Spring
We are focusing on Spring over the next few weeks.
As you can see, we have set the nursery up with a range of activities. We will hopefully be making the most of the good weather and spending more time outdoors searching for signs of spring too.
The children can search for minibeasts and use the magnifying glasses to see them in more detail
At the playdough table we are making pretty Spring flowers
The children need to arrange the Numicon onto Spring pictures
Role play is a vets - the children need to care for the poorly animals
We have the farm out - can the children match the adult animals with their offspring?
Using a minibeast and farm animal guide to identify the different creatures
Loose parts - designing and making flowers with buttons, lids and hoops
1:1 correspondence - counting the daffodils and using the 10 frame to show this number
Sorting minibeasts and making a little home for them
The children have done a wonderful job of settling back in and are thoroughly enjoying seeing all their friends!
Can I just add a quick note here to remind you that everything needs to be named in nursery! Please, please, please, check cardigans and jumpers, shoes, coats, lunch boxes and water bottles. It takes such a long time at the end of each session to get the children ready and by naming things so that they are easily identifiable, we could speed things along!
Thank you
