1.3.21 Reception- Jack and the Beanstalk

 Jack and the Beanstalk

This has been our final week of home learning and being in Lockdown!
We hope you have enjoyed all of the activities at home; I know we have enjoyed them in school, but we are all really looking forward to seeing you in school from next week. :)
This week, we have focused on Jack and the Beanstalk. We have practised our subtraction by taking away our magic beans, played some estimating games, counted in 2's, and ordered the beanstalks by size.
In Literacy, we have played a 'hot seating' game, where we had to pretend to be different characters in the story and thought about what they might have said and why.
We have thought about character descriptions, ordering the story and re-telling the story through story maps and acting out.
We also got messy by practising how to make the colour green (by mixing blue and yellow), making cut and stick characters from the story and even having a go at planting our own beanstalks.
Take a look at our learning...
