RBingham - Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood

This week's traditional story is Little Red Riding Hood.
After reading the story, we described the characters and also discussed what they might say to each other.
We also talked about the dangers of talking to strangers, just like Little Red Riding Hood did when she talked to the wolf in the woods.

We have all enjoyed dressing up and acting out the story. Can you guess which characters we are?

We decided to make a sandwich for Little Red Riding Hood's Grannie, but enjoyed eating them ourselves!

In our outside classroom, we made routes from Little Red Riding Hood's house to Grannie's cottage, using positional language to describe our journey.

We explored making clocks to tell the time (o'clock) so that Little Red Riding can get home on time.

We are becoming much more confident to use the bar model to explore number bonds to 10 - we had to fill Little Red Riding Hood's basket with different combinations of things to take to Grannie's cottage.

These are some of the different versions of the story which we have also enjoyed this week.

Have you read any different versions of Little Red Riding Hood?
How are they the same/different?
