RBingham - Goldilocks and The Three Bears

Goldilocks and The Three Bears

This week's traditional story has been
'Goldilocks and The Three Bears'.
We wrote 'sorry' letters from Goldilocks, speech bubbles and some of us decided to make our own books!
Authors in the making!

We couldn't have read 'Goldilocks' without making porridge!
Most of us enjoyed adding golden syrup to our porridge to make it sweet, just as Mummy Bear likes it!

In our role play area, we acted out the story taking on different roles, using different types of voices.

In Maths, we explored the concept of 'doubling': Daddy Bear always ate 'double' the amount of Baby Bear's food. We drew pictures as representations and also wrote number sentences to show our working.

We made different sized beds and chairs for the three bears.

We have also been finding lots of different ways of representing teen numbers, such as using Numicon, tens and ones, unifix cubes and sorting bears.

After watching Numberblocks, we have been exploring square numbers and also finding different ways of representing the number 10.
We have also been opening padlocks to find 'teen' numbers.

Again, we have enjoyed reading different versions of the story. These are some of our favourites!

Another busy week in Class RBingham!
