On the Farm
This week we have learnt about the difference between fiction and non-fiction books. We read information books to learn new things. We also asked google to help answer our questions.
In literacy, we have thought about what we would be able to see, hear, smell, taste and touch on a farm. We focused on using full stops, capital letters and finger spaces. We have drawn items for a healthy lunch box for the farmer and we have used our phonics to label the items. We also really enjoyed making a farm using the large construction.
In Numeracy, we looked at the value of money and made different amounts of money. We used Numicon to find the odd and even numbers. We also played a ‘guess my shape’ game by trying to find the shape by describing the properties of it. We also loved using the large construction of build a tractor.
In the afternoons, we used the iPads to make a picture farm animals, used playdough to make animals on a farm and followed the instructions to make a sheep.
