On The Farm
This week we have been exploring farms.
In literacy, we have been writing facts about the animals that live on a farm, writing the names for animals and writing rhyming words for ‘pig’.
In Numeracy, we have been sharing out carrots between some animals, sorted animals into different criteria, made a tally chart of favourite farm animals, practised finding the number bonds to 10 using a bar model, and ordered numbers on the farm animals.
In the afternoons, we have been painting animal footprints, making a list of what the farmer can sell, learning to draw animals, exploring our farm shop role play and making a cut and stick chick or hen.
We have also been very lucky this week. We have started iPad sessions with Mr Ward. We showed him our brilliant skills on Paintbrush by drawing a picture of ourselves.
And also we started our outside PE lessons with Mr Toyne. We had great fun playing games that built on our spatial awareness and throwing and catching skills.
