Welcome to the Year of the Ox!
This week we have been learning about how Chinese New Year is celebrated. We also listened to the story of how they decided on the order of the animals for their Zodiac signs.
In literacy we have been trying to write our name and numbers in Chinese on our lucky packets, and have been very creative, making a chinese dragon and chinese lantern.
All of the children have enjoyed trying some chinese food. The children in school tried a stir fry, while the children at home followed a Chef and made their own spring rolls and chinese rice.
It looked very yummy. Take a look at our creations (you may even spot some snowy pictures too!)...
