How to Paint Dandelions
I thought you might like to try this art idea at home.
What you need:
empty toilet/kitchen roll tubes
scissors
white poster paint
thin paint brush
cotton wool
lid from a pop bottle
cotton buds
coloured paper/card
What to do:
1. Cut a thin fringe at one end of your toilet/kitchen roll tube.
2. Put white paint on a plate.
3. Dip the tube in the paint and gently stamp it on the paper to make a dandelion. Repeat several times over the same print.
4. Dip the bottle top into the paint and print in the centre of each dandelion.5. Bunch 5 or 6 cotton buds together and fasten with an elastic band.
5. Dip the cotton buds in the paint and dot them around the outside and inside of each dandelion print.
6. using the same bunch of cotton buds print a trail of dandelion clocks blowing away from each dandelion.
7. As the paint is drying on your plate, dab some cotton wool in and gently pat it around your blown dandelion clocks.
8. Finally use a thin paint brush to paint a star in the centre of each dandelion and also a stem.
