The Gingerbread Man.
Our traditional story this week has been
'The Gingerbread Man'.
After reading lots of different versions of the story, we have found lots of similarities and differences.
One of our favourites was 'The Gingerbread Bunny'.
We were very excited to bake our own gingerbread men. We followed the recipe and carefully mixed the ingredients together.
We also made our own cut and stick gingerbread men.
We thought about how the gingerbread man could get across the river safely. Some of us made bridges and boats.
In maths, we ordered numbered gingerbread men...
... and also different sized gingerbread men.
We have also been exploring number bonds to 10, using two gingerbread men and coloured buttons. We used the part/part/whole method to show our workings.
We have also enjoyed working in our bakery/cafe role play. We even made gingerbread men to sell to our customers.
