We're Going on a Bear Hunt

 This week our travels have taken us on a Bear Hunt...

We have used positional language to say where the bear was outside. We placed the bear on, in, under, next to, near, in front of, behind and above.

We made a massive 3D map outside and built all the bits of the story. 

We wrote all the places we went to.

 We described the bear.

 We counted the bears in the caves to make a number sentence.

We made a smaller scale 3D bear hunt story using bits and bobs from a bucket.

How will I get there?

The Journey home from Grandpa's

This week we have started our learning about 'How will I get there?'. We are spending this week and next week thinking about travelling by land.

We have focused on 'The Journey home from Grandpa's' and 'The Magic Train Ride'. 

We have been measuring vehicles using cubes and counting the cubes to find out how long they are.

We have used 2D shapes to make trains. We have tried to name the shapes we have used.

 We have enjoyed exploring the outside challenges. We now have a Garage role play, large garage to play with and cars on ramps to test and race.

 These are the places we would like to see out our window on our journey.
