Winter
This week we have been learning about how Autumn changes into Winter.
We have thought about four of our senses and what we can see, hear, touch and taste when it is winter. We used out Fred fingers to sound the words out and wrote the sounds as independently as we could. We had to use some trickier sounds from a new sound mat too.
In Numeracy, we did some date collection in a tally chart about our favourite thing to do in the snow. We then transferred this information on to a pictogram.
We also practised our aiming skills by throwing snowballs into the numbered tubs. We had to keep a track of our score by adding the numbers together.
We enjoyed recognising the numerals and counting out the right number of buttons for each snowman.
We loved using our role play area to read winter themed books and build an ice palace for Elsa and Anna.
We also enjoyed our small world play with polar bears, seals and penguins.
