Vets and Pet Shop

This week we read a wonderful book called 'The Great Pet Sale' by Mick Inkpen.

We made a pet shop, just like in 'The Great Pet Sale' and bought pets using 10p and 1p coins.

We're really good at partitioning into tens and ones!

Then we made another pet shop! This time everything cost pounds.

We were given a £10 note to spend!

In order to buy a pet, we had to 'exchange' our £10 note for ten £1 coins.

We have a very clever class who can name adult and baby animals!

We also made pet footprints using natural materials.

What a busy week!
