Another swimming superstar!

After seeing Phoebe bring in her swimming certificate yesterday Theodor was eager to come and celebrate his swimming success today! He loved standing up in front of the class to show them, he even gave us a demonstration on what he has to do with his arms and legs!

Well done Theodor, we are all really proud of you!

Celebrating

Phoebe was really excited to bring her swimming certificate in today.  She told us that she had to jump in, swim to the deep end and dunk her head in the water.  Phoebe said she loves swimming and dunking her head is the best part!

Well done Phoebe, we are all really proud of you.

Remember if you have something you would like us to celebrate and share on the blog to bring it in or email it to sarah.jarrett@fosse-way-academy.org

Happy Chinese New Year

This week we have been learning about how
Chinese New Year is celebrated.

A big part of the celebrations is enjoying food
with your friends and family.

Mrs Tunstall, Mrs Davis, Miss Rose and
Mrs Bishop cooked and served us stir fried
vegetables in black bean sauce.

Getting to grips with the chopsticks was
the trickiest part!

We didn’t let that get in the way
of us enjoying our food!!

Hilda Pang

We were so excited today when Jonah brought in his Mummy's very special Chinese doll, Hilda Pang. He was so proud to show everyone.

This is her story...

This is Hilda, she is very special and was my Mummy's doll. She was born in Hong Kong and lived there for 3 years with my Mummy. She now lives with my Grandma in Cherry Willingham. I like to play with her at Grandma's house. She has special clothes and a passport like me.

We looked at where Hong Kong is on the map and looked carefully at her passport and talked about where we have been with our passports.

Thank you so much for bringing her in to meet us.
