Nursery - keeping in touch

Hope this blog finds you all well. Weather has been glorious this past week so I hope you've managed to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Only Margot this week with some pictures of what she has been up to.

We looked at garden birds, nocturnal animals and bees. Margot has also been practising writing her name in different ways and had a go at measuring different objects using a tape measure.

Another busy week.

Mrs Dodge - End of Week 9

Week 9 Photos and catch up

Emmie has worked hard on her numbers, reading words, writing about herself and being creative outside.

Neo has enjoyed looking at the wildlife on his walks and rides. He also explored bubbles outside.

Amaia collected many colours on her walk and collected them in a heart shape.

Charlie has been exploring the outside. He found a leaf bug and made a bug house for it. He has been outside on many walks and used some stones that he found to make a picture. I hope you save me some of that cake! I hope Mummy had a nice birthday?

Jack turned 5! Happy birthday Jack. He has enjoyed being in his garden and watering the plants as well as going out for walks.... It was lovely to bump into you the other day too 😁

Skye has been out riding her bike and dressing up. She also made some unicorn cakes and went out to feed the ducks.

Harry turned 5 too! Happy birthday Harry! He had a lovely birthday and worked on his addition this week.

Evie learnt to ride her bike with no stabilisers... well done 😊 She has done plenty of school work, including learning her vowels and when to use a capital letter.

Super work everyone! Have a lovely week off and enjoy half term.

Nursery Keeping in touch

Hope you are keeping well. I have attached some photographs from Sienna and Margot who have been very busy!

Sienna had a great time celebrating VE Day last week, making bunting with a pillowcase and paint.

We have looked at farms this week, retelling the story ‘A Squash and a Squeeze'. We have cleaned muddy animals, milked cows and found out where meat comes from. Margot also wrote labels independently as well as her name. She has made a robot and a new crown for the Queen.

Mrs Dodge - End of Week 8

End of Week 8

We had a lovely zoom meeting today with some pupils from our class. We all said 'Hi' and talked about what we have been doing. We then played a scavenger hunt game where we had to find all the colours of the rainbow.

Neo has been busy with his Dad. They have built a bird table. WOW! Well done.

Kayleb has been busy learning about his body and learning about time.

Nursery - keeping in touch

Thank you again to those parents who have been in touch, letting me know what you have all been up to. I have a few more photographs too share today.

We had a VE Day street party, learnt how to ride a bike, helped with some gardening, made words using our phonic knowledge, looked at writing numbers, and went on a bear hunt through swishy swashy grass!

Ruby is missing all of her friends and teachers and can’t wait to see you all again.

Please find attached Margot’s week 7 learning. We looked at the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. She enjoyed retelling the story and drawing a picture of Goldilocks. She has also practised writing her name and focused on the number 3.

We also had fun making food and decorations for our street party on VE Day.

Harper is missing everybody but is so excited that she is coming to Fosse Way in September.
We have been trying to keep Harper busy at home, and as a teacher myself, we have been especially trying to keep phonics and number ticking over. We do lots of role play (mostly as Disney Princesses) and playing with Lego (also Disney!!). We have completed lots of the challenges on the weekly lesson ideas. Harper can almost write the whole alphabet and her numbers 1-10 are improving.
We have also taken part in lots of musical theatre challenges as we are huge fans as a family and Harper attends Reach Theatre School. She even made the final cut of a worldwide Six the Musical video!

Thank you again for the messages, photographs and catch-ups. Keep safe everyone.
